*add a catchy life title here*
I don't want to be melodramatic, but man it's been 4 years since I moved in London and I haven't achieved what I've dreamt of by now. Friends say "Don't worry, you will find something. You're in London", yeah bitch but you don't know how competitive is here. Neither did I. Best friends say "We believe in you, you're strong just have to wait and they will hire you. Don't be such a baby", and of course they know I've been fired twice already. The odds are against me.
You can tell a lot of people - important people - have been fired as well, because you can find a plethora of KICKASS articles in LinkedIn: "Why Being Fired Was the Best Thing That Happened To Me" or "How to Fuck Up" or "Remember You’re Not the First To Fail". Well, please tell that to my plummeting bank account so you might stop it from free falling.
And last but not least, my family says: "Come back to Greece, you'll have us, the sun, the sea, your friends, your car, your flat, your 600€ fixed salary for the next 30 years, you will work as a senior - you will have the title, responsibilities and late nights but not the salary - and girl you'll have your dogs.
- "No mum, I want the rough way", I said.
- "Mum, one last thing!"
- "Yes, my child."
- "Could you please transfer me some money?"
What a shame.
